Collective Worship

As a Church of England school, collective worship is a critical part of our school day. The Faith Council meet with the headteacher each week, and plan assemblies and prayer and reflection activities. We welcome the Open-the-Book team and other representatives from Woodbridge churches who add so much depth to our collective worship each week. Father Nigel of St Mary's Church, is an important and familiar member of our school community.

We attend service at St Mary's Church each term as well has having our end of term services at the church. These are special events and shared by our whole school community.

Spiritual Development at St Mary's

The above video about our definition of spiritual development was created and performed by the Faith Council 2024-2025

At St Mary's CofE Primary School, we aim to foster an awareness ofspirituality in all we do. We understand spiritual development to be:

 That through God’s love we encounter the ows and the wows of life;

We reflect upon them;

Which can lead to a transformation of our thoughts or actions.
